2015 marked the 50th anniversary of the recommencement of The Salvation Army in Taiwan.
Originally planned for Saturday 8th August 2015, anniversary celebrations took place a day later due to Typhoon Soudelor.
Among the dignitaries present were General André Cox, Commissioner Silvia Cox and Leslie Lovestead. Leslie, while serving with the USA forces after the Second World War, was responsible for the recommencement of Salvation Army ministry in Taiwan. Read the full story of the celebration here.
Throughout the last 50 years we have provided a variety of services to the Taiwanese community.
On 25th February 2016 we are holding Taiwan’s first ever CEO Sleepout to raise much need funds to continue and expand our services to the homeless community – our goal is to raise NT$1.5M.
